Recreation Center

The Rec Center was officially opened on July 1, 2001. The building is debt free with all funds raised from cash contributions, grants & fundraisers.  User fees expenses are expected to cover daily operating expenses. However, we still need to buy additional equipment for the exercise area and donations are needed for that purpose.  As you will see from the pictures we have quite a bit of weight training equipment that was purchased from the University of Missouri,  but we still need cardiovascular and aerobic equipment.

The Sturgeon Recreation Center was made possible, in part, by the hard work and dedication of many Sturgeon residents. To insure the success of the Center, we need the communities continued support. Volunteers are needed to provide a properly supervised center. Donations are welcome.

Please make your tax deductible donation to the Sturgeon Recreation Center c/o The City of Sturgeon.
