Sturgeon is uniquely well-located for easy access to other desirable services. Within a 25-mile radius are large shopping centers, hundreds of medical professionals and six general hospitals in Columbia, Moberly and Mexico; the University of Missouri and its broad array of undergraduate and graduate schools, museums and other educational and cultural facilities; four 4-year colleges; a junior college; two television stations; a dozen radio stations and hundreds of dining and lodging facilities.

Professional sports, amusement parks and other metropolitan features are less than three hours away in Kansas City and St. Louis. Lake resorts, camping, boating and fishing facilities are even nearer at Lake of the Ozarks and Mark Twain Lake.
